VeganCue v0.7 beta

Scan. Check. Know.

VeganCue combines public product data with conservative ingredient rules. It shows where a result came from and highlights ingredients that made the answer non-vegan or uncertain.

FoodIngredients, additives and vegan labels.
BeautyExpanded checks for ingredients such as lanolin, keratin, carmine, beeswax and source-dependent squalane.
HouseholdFormulation checks where ingredient data exists.

VeganCue beta

This is the first branded VeganCue beta. The core scanner, ingredient-photo fallback, transparent verdicts, favourites, corrections and feedback flow are ready for real-world testing.

Please test ordinary food first, but also try beauty and household products where ingredient data is available. VeganCue will say when the evidence is incomplete rather than guessing.

Use the beta testing guide for suggested test cases, and send feedback from inside the app whenever something looks wrong, unclear or awkward.

Result meanings

Vegan — available data supports it.
Not vegan — an animal-derived ingredient was identified.
Needs checking — source or data is uncertain.
No verdict — not enough information.

Important limitations

A green result is based on the available product record, labels and ingredient information. Recipes change, databases can be incomplete, and processing aids or manufacturing details may not be visible on an ingredients list. When the packaging disagrees with the app, trust the current packaging and report the result.
